History

Flower agate is also known as Cherry Blossom Agate and Sakura Agate (桜石 [sakura ishi] in Japanese, which translates literally to “cherry blossom stone”). It was discovered in 2018 in Madagascar by geologists. While most agate stones are generally common, flower agate has only been discovered in Madagascar as of right now. The stone got its name from the light pink to white spots that can resemble flowers. Since this stone was only discovered in 2018, its properties are still being studied and recorded.

General Information

While some of flower agate’s properties have been discovered, the stone is still fairly new and geologists and researchers are still discovering its properties. Other than being one of my favorite stones, flower agate is best known for helping you “blossom” and discover your full potential. It is considered a stone of personal development and self growth. This beautiful stone has been known to help release tension and stress. It can also help increase feelings of joy and spontaneity. It can also encourage creativity and self expression. It is a stone that has been said to be beneficial to entrepreneurs wanting to pursue different types of business goals, as it also increases enthusiasm and drive, while helping to prevent procrastination.

Flower agate is a balancing stone that has been said to support your overall well being. It can help “light” your path and help you accomplish your goals, while protecting against negativity that can overwhelm and discourage you. It can help you release negative and fearful thoughts, along with any self doubts you may have. It can help reduce stress and anxiety, which promotes peaceful sleep. While releasing negativity, it also increases feelings of unconditional love and support, helping you deal with past traumas. Coping and overcoming past traumas can help you discover the beauty around you and encourage hope for the future.
